Episode 3

About Michelle:
Change. It's a good thing. I was devoted to the business of music for a long, long time and am grateful for the publishers, musicians, songwriters and artists I have had the pleasure of working with. After being a staff songwriter from '92-2003 for Warner-Chappell Music, Sony/Maypop Publishing and Bluewater Music, I played with an LA based rock band, worked with inner-city youth in a nature/outdoor program, kayaked rivers and ocean tides, romped in the woods and moved to the mountains. Recording my own album is the next step on this journey. Posted are a few songs from the Nashville days that have survived the years. Occasionally I will let fly a new acoustic song, take the temperature and see if it's warm enough to put on the album. I record in the loft of my cabin on very limited equipment and very limited engineering talent but with lots of inspiration. Work with whatcha got, that's my motto. All leading to a sketch of what I hope will be a full-color album in the near future. Recently, I was blessed with an opportunity to write music for an upcoming Indie Native American Film called "Kissed By Lightening", directed by Shelley Niro. It's a cool film due for release in Fall '09. The summer is full of whitewater, blue-sky days, barn parties and live music - everything that life is meant to be. The challenge is slowing down long enough to hear the Muse.

We had a blast in studio with Michelle. She was a very cool lady. Be sure to check her out at Mississippi Pizza in Portland on Aug 22nd.
